DFA IV Cocktails
John Myers, MD, a physician from Baltimore, Maryland, pioneered the use of intravenous (IV) vitamins and minerals as part of the overall treatment of various medical problems, and the term ‘Meyer’s cocktail’ was coined.
Many relatively healthy patients choose to receive periodic injections because it enhances their overall well being.
Intravenous administration of nutrients can achieve serum concentrations not obtainable with oral, or even intramuscular (IM) administration.
At DFA clinic, we offer the signature intravenous DFA cocktail which is a powerful energy shot, a perfect blend of vitamins & antioxidants like Glutathione, Vitamin C, Alpha lipoic acid, Grape seed extract, Vitamin B3,6,12 and a unique fusion of trace minerals.
How often is IV therapy recommended?
The frequency of treatment will depend on client’s needs as well as the condition being treated. The infusions can be given weekly or monthly for more chronic conditions, or for general health maintenance and immune support.
What should be expected prior to patient treatment?
All IV therapy is under the direction of a board certified medical provider & a complete and thorough medical history is obtained. This history will include all medications and known drug allergies. Absolute contraindications with vitamins and nutrients include uncontrolled hypertension, heart failure, compromised renal function, liver disease, alcohol abuse, chemotherapy, and/or radiation therapy, recent surgery and a confirmed allergy to any of the ingredients.
What are the possible side effects/reactions?
Given too quickly, an IV may lower blood pressure causing warmth, dizziness or fainting. Some patients may experience burning at the localized IV site.

- Chronic Fatigue
- Fibromyalgia Syndrome
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Chronic Depression
- Sinusitis, Asthma (Chronic)
- Adrenal Exhaustion
